28 September some second year Film Academy students arrived at the children’s  pool for a film shoot. Conservatory in Beatrixpark.

We have written about it before, but now it is definite: a dependance of the Conservatory will be established in the buildings of the old St. Nicolaas convent. Bridge with a new name: Prins Frisobrug

One of the bridges in the park which up till now only had a number, but no name, has now been officially named after Prins Friso. The other bridges in the park all have names referring to composers. But since this is the Beatrixpark, an exception has been made in honour of Beatrix’ second son.. read more →

New Benches!

Thanks to the RAI and to Griekspoor: The Beatrixpark in Amsterdam Zuid has gained two unique benches. Two four metre long tree benches are donated to the park by RAI Amsterdam. Wij ontvingen bijgaand bericht van Zuidplus: Dinsdag 2 juni wordt een boom naast de A10 ter hoogte van het Beatrixpark verwijderd. Dangerous bridge closed

The main bridge from the Prinses Irenestraat to the park was already in bad condition. But this week one of the park-attendants stepped right through. So now the bridge is completely closed off.
